DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of the Mississippi River at Fulton Taproom on Tues
 day\, August 2\, beginning at 5 p.m. to celebrate the release of 72 Stretc
 h\, a limited-edition Fulton gose brew benefiting Friends of the Mississip
 pi River. \n\nMade in collaboration with Fulton Beer\, Rahr Corporation an
 d Bob Mitchell's Fly Shop\, this special brew honors the 72 miles of the M
 ississippi River flowing through the Twin Cities metro. Home to our local 
 national park\, the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area\, this 
 72-mile stretch also serves as the sole source of drinking water for nearl
 y one in three metro residents. Plus\, Mississippi River water is the numb
 er one ingredient in brews from Minneapolis! \n\nIn recognition of the riv
 er's importance to our health\, culture and industry\, $1 from each pint o
 f 72 Stretch will support FMR's work to protect\, restore and enhance the 
 river for everyone. \n\nIn addition to great beer\, the launch party will 
 feature fly casting tips from the owners of Bob Mitchell's Fly Shop\, spec
 ially produced river-themed artwork by Jake Keeler and screenings of FMR's
  documentary\, 'Rebirth\,' on the little-known story behind the hard-won d
 esignation of our local Mississippi River national park. FMR staff and fri
 ends will be there to answer questions on river health and to share action
 s that all of us can take to protect the Big River. \n\n72 Stretch will be
  available only in Fulton Taproom\, while supplies last. Check it out befo
 re it's gone! \n\nOur collaboration with Fulton Beer\, Rahr Malting and Bo
 b Mitchell's Fly Shop came together with the simple idea that you can't ma
 ke great beer without great water. Earlier this year\, we launched greatri
 vergreatbeer.com to raise awareness and support for the river. 72 Stretch 
 is our first project together. \n\nThis event is free\, open to the public
  (ages 21+) and no registration is required! \n\n
