DESCRIPTION:How is the health of the Mississippi River? Can I safely swim i
 n it? Can I eat the fish I catch? What can we do about silver and other in
 vasive carp? How are bald eagles faring? \n\nAt Friends of the Mississippi
  River we hear questions like these all the time. That's why we partnered 
 with the National Park Service's Mississippi National River &amp\; Recreat
 ion Area unit to develop the State of the River Report (recently updated f
 or 2016).\n\nJoin FMR Watershed Program Director Trevor Russell and Water 
 Quality Coordinator Lark Weller of our local unit of the National Park Ser
 vice at Fair State Brewing Cooperative for a brief overview of the report'
 s key findings. From invasive "flying" carp to bacterial contamination\, f
 rom eagles to swimmability\, Trevor will spend the first portion of the ev
 ening highlighting the most important trends and emerging issues as well a
 s potential solutions. \n\nNext\, we'll have an informal Q &amp\; A sessio
 n then enjoy a brewery tour and free growler raffle! To make sure everyone
  has a chance to ask questions\, and due to limited seating\, capacity is 
 limited and advance registration required. However\, the brewery will be o
