 the two-hour workshop you'll be introduced to Coco's approach to watercolo
 r painting\, using her "Belle Plaine Barn Scape" as a model for your paint
 ing. This will include:• Watercolor introduction.• Introduction to thr
 ee basic watercolor techniques: Graded wash\; Wet on wet\; and Dry-brush.U
 sing these techniques\, you'll create your own landscape painting.Coco Con
 nolly is an American painter\, living in Minneapolis\, Minnesota\, special
 izing in watercolor. Her works describe her environment\, the landscape\, 
 and people around her. Her style blends precise line work and impressionis
 tic flowing watercolors. The landscape studies dwell on the atmospheric qu
 alities of the prairies and farmland in the Midwest\, while the botanical 
 works are opportunities for meditative reflection. A lifetime of dance tra
 ining fuels her interest in painting people. She is intent on capturing ge
 stures that communicate specific emotions.Connolly has been involved in ar
 t since forever. Early training in design and advertising lead to position
 s as art director with Carmichael Lynch Advertising Agency\, owning her ow
 n design studio\, and creative manager for Target Corporation. She has won
  national and regional awards for her advertising and design work and her 
 work has been recognized in Communication Arts\, Print\, Creative Quarterl
 y and Graphis magazines. Coco has been a featured speaker at venues in Bal
 timore\, Cleveland\, Cincinnati and Washington DC for the American Institu
 te of Graphic Artists.Connolly is now focused on making personal artworks 
 and illustration. She takes commissions from both the private sector and c
 ommercial venues. In addition to evolving her painting Coco continues to d
 o photo direction for Target Corporation\, lead art activities for childre
 n with Breanna’s Gift Foundation and tackle design projects for various
