Buster’s Brunch

As of December 1st, Buster’s on 28th is now serving brunch Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 2 pm. The brunch menu is a combination of breakfast items and selections from their regular menu. Mag and I both had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant today and if it’s any indication of how they do breakfast, rush on over!

Buster’s also has a weekly beer special. This week was Summit’s Winter Ale (ending today, but I would suspect it will remain on tap for a while) and starting tomorrow Arcadia London Porter will be the beer of the week.

You can brew your own at Vine Park TONIGHT

This afternoon a group canceled their 7PM reservation TONIGHT (November 30, 2007) for all six of our kettles due to illness. We were able to reschedule them for mid January but this creates a singular opportunity. This is the only kettle reservation available in the evening that will get you back to bottle before Christmas! If you can react quickly, call us to book any or all of the six. Bottling will be on Dec 13, again at 7PM. This is an unusual email for us. But so many people have been unable to get a brew time because they couldn’t get away from work and needed an evening brew time, we wanted to let people have a chance to grab this unique reservation. Please call 651.228.1355 to book a reservation.
Thanks Dan & Andy

Dead Guy Special

If Surly’s releases aren’t your thing or further than you want to travel head on over to Buster’s on 28th. All week they are pouring pints of Rogue Dead Guy for $3. Or better yet, grab some Surly before those kegs are emptied, THEN go to Buster’s for some Rogue.

Saturday Novemebr 3rd is Teach a Friend to homebrew day! We will be hosting this annual event on our patio, so come on up from 10-2pm and brew a batch with the local homebrew clubs. Author Doug Hoverson will be there signing copies of his recently published book detailing the history of Minnesota Brewing – Land of Amber Waters: The History of Brewing in Minnesota.
The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day is an international event to introduce people to the homebrewing hobby and establish relationships with local homebrew supply shops.

Each year on the first Saturday in November, homebrewers around the world are encouraged to invite non-brewing and brewing friends and family to celebrate Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day and brew a batch of beer together.
