What do the Lift Bridge Beer Co. do when they are not brewing up their next great beer? They cook foods that pair perfectly with their beer! Influenced by chefs of some of the best Asian restaurants in the Twin Cities such as Ngon Bistro, Moto-I, and Ginger Hop, their foods represent their own unique style. So move over sake, a great local craft beer can be a perfect accompaniment for this cuisine and tonight you will enjoy discovering why. Their menu will include Thai Bloody Mary’s, Spring Rolls, Coconut Chicken Soup, 5-Spice Braised Pork Belly, Beer Ice Cream, good times and lots of delicious Lift Bridge Brew!
Michael Agnew has landed a part-time gig with the Star Tribune and will be writing a monthly beer article. Check out his first piece, featuring a local staple Summit EPA.
Surly Mild is a wonderful thing to behold, but as it holds a place in their seasonal line-up, the time to behold it is winding down. If you’re a Mild lover, you might want to check out Downtime Bar & Grill on the U of M campus. They’ll be serving up their last kegs of Mild for $3/pint, plus a sample of cask Furious with any Surly purchase.
Other notes:
1) There is a $5 cover as they have live music so consider yourself warned.
2) If drinking beer makes you hungry, Aaron Landry says they make pretty good ‘za.
