Where the Wild Beers Are 2010

Sour geeks, this is your event! Truthbrew is putting on his third collaborative sour/wild beer event at Stub and Herb’s. Details:

The event is FREE (donations accepted and used to offset costs). You must bring sour/wild beer to share. Space is limited, registration is required and will open soon at:

We’ll, as usual, have many special offerings at both events. All left over beer from last year’s event has been cellared and will be brought back to share this year. In addition we have personally spent many dollars to obtain even more interesting beer to share.

Haute Dish Beer Extravaganza

Man, lots of awesome $hit happening in the days leading up to ABR. Here’s one more you won’t want to miss. Sure, it’s tagged as a beer dinner, but this one is so much more.

Haute Dish is offering a Six Course Beer Dinner featuring the following brewery, er, reps and their beer.

Omar Ansari, owner of Surly Brewing
Larry Bell, owner of Bell’s Brewing
David Engbers, owner of Founders Brewing
Jeff Brown, owner of Boulder Beer
Tony Magee, owner of Lagunitas
Matt Long, brewmaster at Big Sky Brewing

5:30-6:30 Meet and Greet
6:45 seating

The beer list will consist of several hard-to-find beers from these breweries paired with Chef Landon Shoenfeld’s delicious food.

New Bell’s Beer Release @ the Gnome

Larry Bell will be joining The Happy Gnome on Sept 30 from 9-11pm to release three new beers:
Le Pianiste, Le Contrabassiste, Le Batteur, all inspired by the French Bier de Garde.

To celebrate, we will have a live jazz that night, and maybe Larry will join the band for a couple songs.  Come meet Larry and enjoy some new beers.

Please note that the Goose Island Tap Takeover has been moved to Oct. 12.

Oktoberfest at the Muddy Pig

Boasting “the largest and most interesting collection of beers of this style in the state,” the Muddy Pig starts their Oktoberfest celebration today with 20 different Oktoberfest/Autumn beers on draft.   On the list:
