Oktoberfest at the Muddy Pig

Boasting “the largest and most interesting collection of beers of this style in the state,” the Muddy Pig starts their Oktoberfest celebration today with 20 different Oktoberfest/Autumn beers on draft.   On the list:

Oktoberfest at Roma

Can’t get enough Oktoberfest-ing? Looking for a party with hammer games? Then Roma Restaurant is the place to be this weekend!

There will be schnitzel, spaetzel, beer brats and more to soak up all the good German beer with. Plus, your favorite Stillwater brewers, the Lift Bridge guys, will be bringing a special cask and their partying hats.

Thursday Tastings at Heritage Liquors

Heritage has announced that they’ll have free tastings every Thursday night from 5-7PM.  Here are a few upcoming events: Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale, Fifteen and Double Simcoe this Thursday the 16th. Next week (Sept. 23rd, they’ll feature Grand Teton Tail Waggin Double Wit and Trout Hop Black IPA.

The following week they plan to have some cool stuff leading up to Autumn Brew Review.  Thursday night (Sept. 30th) cellarman and brewer John Abrahams from Deschutes Brewing of Bend, Oregon will be in store to pour samples of and Friday (Oct. 1st) will bring a visit from head-brewer Aran Madden of Furthermore from 5-7PM. They’re working on a couple other things for ABR week, so stay tuned.

Ala Carte Beer Breakfast at Aster Cafe

Check out Aster Cafe (125 SE Main St, Mpls) on Saturday Oct 2nd between 8am – 11am for an ala carte Beer Breakfast. They’ll feature Southern Tier Pumking or New Holland Ichabod Waffles, Furthermore Fallen Apple Crepes, Great Lakes Oktoberfest Sausages and Rush River Braised Pork Burrito. Fill up before you head down to Autumn Brew Review. Aran from Furthermore, Dan or Nick from Rush River, and the Brewmaster from Great Lakes will be there as well.

Flying Dog Tap Takeover at 331 Club

Flying Dog will be taking over the taps at 331 Club (331 13th Ave NE ~ Minneapolis MN) on Oct. 1st, starting at 7pm!  Flying Dog Brewmaster Matt Brophy will be there to chat and drink from 13 Flying Dog beers on draft! There will be games and prizes, including a set of 2 VIP passes for the Autumn Brew Review on Oct 2! FREE hot dog bar with tons of toppings to choose from, plus live music. Sounds like a good time.
