Reminder: Commander Release at Lift Bridge Saturday

Lift Bridge is throwing a party for the release their newest beer, Commander Barleywine, a 12.5% English-style barleywine brewed with “heavy fists of malts and subtle, sweet cardamom,” then aged in Heaven Hill Distillery bourbon barrels.

Your ticket gets you:
Sample of the Commander™ and a Limited Release glass
Live music throughout the day
Games – Hammerschlagen, Bags tournament and Commander™ Mustache Contest (Start growing it now!)

In addition, there will be food from local food trucks (TBA) and Lift Bridge beer for purchase.

While you’re at the brewery purchasing your ticket for the release party, why not also purchase a ticket good for a 750ml bottle of the Commander? Those tickets are $15 each and limited to 6 per person. The bottles will be available for pick up at the release party through the end of the year.

A Firkin Snowstorm at Stub & Herb’s Friday

Regardless of whether or not you buy what the weather people and old farmers say about winter predictions, I can say on good authority that a Snowstorm will definitely hit Stub & Herb’s Friday. At 3pm they’ll tap the first cask ever of . This year’s Snowstorm is a Wee Heavy and 6th generation brewmaster Jace Marti will be on hand to answer questions and enjoy beers with you. $3 pints! Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival Presale Party

The Beer Dabbler will be holding a presale party on November 17th at Cherokee Tavern in St. Paul from 7-9pm. You can buy your Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival tickets for $25 (as opposed to $30 plus any fees), and enjoy $3 pints of Summit, Schell’s Snowstorm and Goose Island 312 as well as 1/2 price wings and chips & guacamole.

The Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival takes place from 4-8pm on Saturday, January 28th at the St. Paul Farmer’s Market.
