…August Schell Brewing Company. They ordered a dozen used French Oak Pinot Noir barrels. Jace Marti says that they are planning to age Schmaltz’s Alt in the barrels for a special limited release. The barrels will be filled later this week. I’m curious… I always look forward to Schmaltz’s Alt but really don’t know what to expect from the effect of the barrel on this beer.

We’ll begin cranking things up at the brewery as we approach the holidays, starting with growler sales on Saturdays from Noon to 3 pm.

Porterfest begins this week with our Xanadu – orange infused porter. We will be doing an infusion of Cygnus every week until the end of the year. We’ll be bringing back some of your favorites from last year and we’ve added four new infusions. These will be growler only.

We will be open on the 24th & 25th instead of the 26th for Thanksgiving. It will be a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving atmosphere here that week.

Come see us at The Cherokee Tavern in West St. Paul on the 9th for Meet Yer Maker night, featuring special pricing on Flat Earth beer.

We have 2 tours scheduled for this month, November 7th & the 21st at 4 pm. No reservations needed. Please bring a valid photo ID.
