Minnesota Beer at the New Twins’ Ballpark

The Minnesota Twins are taking suggestions for their new ballpark. Let’s all push the beer issue… good, flavorful Minnesota beer.

Here’s one suggestion from Brian:

You need better tasting beers. Build a microbrewery into the stadium. Create your own Twins beers. Imagine on a warm summer day a quaffing down a light Harmon’s Hefeweizen’s. At least try to contract in some nice brews, maybe from Granite City, or the Town Hall brewery, locally made here in Minnesota!

Thanks to Brian from the Minnesota Homebrewer’s Association listserv for the info.

Birchwood Cafe Beer Dinner

Hello Beer Enthusiasts,

There will be a beer dinner at the Birchwood Cafe on Sunday, November 5. The cost is a reasonable $45 and includes 5 courses and all the beer. Gratuity is not included as far as I know.

The beers will be a selection from Artisanal Imports’ and there will be as secret beer and gifts for all.

Call the Birchwood at (612) 722-4474 for details.

Thanks,

Lanny

That’ll Be $30, Mrs. Sundberg, Please Write Your Check to the Guild…

Autumn Brew Review is mentioned at The View From Mrs. Sundberg’s Window, a blog over at the Prairie Home Companion website. Judging by her post, Mrs. Sundberg owes The Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild a few bucks, or, at the very least, some blueberry streusel bars.

Now who brought the beer that tasted “a bit like green apples and butter with a hint of rotten egg”?
