Do Good, Get Good Beer

If you don’t have any plans for Sunday afternoon and are in a giving (working, really) mood, the City of Stillwater would love to have you help them fill sandbags. As a bit of a thank you, hometown brewery Lift Bridge is offering a free pint at Brine’s.

Join Lift Bridge Beer guys on Sunday, March 21st to help construct a critical sand bag levee as the St. Croix river continues to rise. We will meet up in the parking lot behind the River Market Co-op at Noon, where we will work with the City of Stillwater public works department to fill and place bags along the levee …wall. At 3:00pm, we will all probably need a beer, right? So, the first round is on us!! For your effort in helping our community, we’ll give you a ticket for a free Lift Bridge at Brine’s Bar, 219 Main Street South. Please RSVP so that the City can make provisions for our group.

Firelake Ciders and Sliders

In celebration of spring and outdoor baseball, the gang from FireLake and Crispin Cider invites you to an evening of ciders and gourmet slider burgers. Every course will be a slider “burger,” from appetizer through dessert. The menu prepared by Executive Chef Paul Lynch (and indeed, it sounds pretty damn good).

Tickets are $50 including gratuity and a $5 per head donation to Second Harvest Heartland food bank.

The evening is casual, and guests are encouraged to wear their favorite baseball regalia.

Crispin Cider cidermaker Bruce Nissen will also be in town to illuminate on the ciders and their vision of the future of (hard) cider in America.
