Oktoberfest @ The Happy Gnome

Oktoberfest Celebration at The Happy Gnome

Celebrate Oktoberfest at The Happy Gnome on Saturday, September 23. [They’ll] have a large tent set up in the parking lot with plenty of beer, food and live music. Just like in Munich….well, sort of like Munich. The party begins at 11:00.

Oktoberfest at Surdyk’s

It’s time to celebrate Oktoberfest, folks, and Surdyk’s is ready to celebrate as well! They will have free tasting of 30 different beers from 11:00 to 7:30 this Friday and Saturday. They will also have a “Wurst Kart” with grilled bockwurst, bratwurst, and knackwurst as well as kraut, German potato salad, hot pretzels, caramel apples and hot cider from 11-5 this Friday & Saturday as well as next Friday & Saturday.

Where’s the music you ask? Fear not, as Surdyk’s will have live music on the 16th and 23rd from noon to 3:00.

And of course what is a beer tasting without a sale? Surdyk’s will have over 100 beers on sale from Sept. 14th to the 23rd. Head on over to Surdyk’s and get your Okt on.

This is the perfect excuse to visit Surdyk’s to refill your beer reserves. Prost!

Here is the best part $3 Pints with a $1 suggested donation at the door to benefit a local non profit, Lutheran Social Services (LSS) Renaissance.

And finally this,

Wanna Sample Fine Beer?

Do we really have to ask? Please mark your calendars for Saturday, October
7 for this year’s Autumn Brew Review. The event, which will feature 100+
beers from more than 30 regional craft brewers, will again be held in
Downtown Minneapolis at Peavey Plaza (located on Nicollet Avenue and 11th
Street).

The event is a perfect venue to sample several unique flavors of fresh craft
beer, many of which are not available in liquor stores. Attendees receive a
commemorative glass and unlimited samples throughout the day. The event
also features live music from a variety of Twin Cities bands and several
food vendors.

Tickets are $25 in advance for general admission (1 p.m. – 6 p.m.) or $35
for VIP tickets (which allows you to enter the event one hour early to start
sampling and have more “quality time” with the brewmasters).

For tickets, visit www.mncraftbrew.org. (Please know that tickets are
limited so advanced ticket purchases are encouraged.)

All ticket proceeds benefit the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild, a non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting Minnesota breweries and the importance
of carrying on the tradition of brewing for future generations to enjoy.

Hope to see you October 7th!

The fall has been keeping us busy and our next tour will happen sometime the
end of October.

One more thing, new Surly Bars:
J. Cousineaus in Maple Grove
Pizza Nea in NorthEast

See you drinking,

Omar

Sunday(s) Bloody Sunday(s) at the Brewhouse

Perhaps this is only vaguely beer-related, but since it’s happening at Fitger’s and you get a half pint snit of beer with your Bloody Mary, we can’t help but to pass along the information.

Howdy,
The Brewhouse has a new Sunday scene for folks that like beer, Bloody Marys and football.

Each Sunday we will add Bloody Marys to our menu. In our backroom we have a 40″ plasma tv with Surround Sound. Said tube will show NFL games all day and night until the end of the last game.

During this time our Bloody Mary will be available for the price of $6.00 including a 1/2 pint snit of your choice filled with Brewhouse beer.

Thanks, see you down at the Brewhouse.
