Ryan Anderson (that's me!) is the editor & founder of MNBeer. Much has changed since the fall of 2005 and I'm proud to have been a part of it all. Sometime I'll tell you about my grand theory that links craft brewing to punk rock. Just ask.

Father Isaac at Grumpy’s NE

Visit Grumpy’s NE on Friday June 26th at 4:00pm for a special event… Learn what it means to be a Trappist Monk in one of only seven Trappist Monestaries in the world that brew beer. Meet Father Isaac, the Prior of the Abbey at Koningshoven in Tilburg, The Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to get a glimpse inside the walls of a brewing Trappist monastary. You will also get to sample Latrappe’s 125th Anniversary beer Isad’or, Koningshoeven Witte, Dubbel, Tripel, Quadrupel, as well as cheese from the monastary. Grumpy’s will also have bread from St. John’s, and will be making grilled cheese sandwiches. This event is free and open to the public. The beer is not free.
