Barley John’s: brewery news & Valentine’s Day

barleyjohns.jpgHere’s some news from Barley John’s. Their Valentine’s Day dinner sounds tasty and I can attest to the fact that the Rosie’s Old Ale with raspberries is really tasty. I think I might even like it better than the “standard” Rosie’s.

Brewery Update
As some of you have noticed we are out of the Stockyard IPA – we apologize for this. Our brewery has been out of commission for the last 2 weeks as we work to fix a few mechanical issues that have sprung up. We should resume brewing again hopefully this weekend and will restore our regular beers back to tap within the next few weeks. We added another seasonal and have some fun guest kegs lined up in the interim. Thanks again and we apologize for the inconvenience – we are getting thirsty too!

Valentine’s Day Dinner
We are adding more flexibility to our traditional Valentines Day Dinner this year. Instead of a fixed 5 course meal, we will be offering a variety of appetizer, salad and dinner specials a la carte. Our kitchen will be open until 10 pm.

We will also be tapping a special keg of Rosies Old Ale aged for 1 year on a Raspberry liqueur we made with raspberries and brettanomyeces (wild yeast).

Barley John’s should have been brewing again last weekend from what I was told.

Anyone know if the Raspberry Rosie’s is going to be out on tap for those not attending the V-day dinner?

They didn’t make much – so I’d guess that if it isn’t gone tonight, it’ll disappear quickly.

Yes it will be on tap. You don’t have to buy the dinner, they will have their normal menu going on too.
