Schells will be doing a sampling of their seasonal beers at The Freighthouse in Stillwater. This will be in the Cabooze (nightclub) portion of The Freighthouse. And since it will likely still be HOT, this might be a good time to check out the Minus5 Ice Lounge.
Can you believe another year has passed and it’s time to celebrate Al’s birthday again? Besides being a great bartender, he’s giving US gifts for his birthday. Check out the details.
Hey Gang,
Guess what? I’m throwing a party on my birthday again this year, and you’re getting the gift of some awesome beers on tap, some for the first time ever.Aventinus Eisbock 2004. That’s right, the iced version of the amazing Schneider Aventinus Weizenbock, aged 5 years. This has never been on tap anywhere in MN, ever. I can’t wait to taste this one! It’s a 5 gallon keg, so come early if you want some!
Next, one of my favorite Baltic Porters of all time, from Finland, Sinebrychoff Porter. This is the first time it’s been available in kegs, and we will be the first place to tap it in the state!
And, I’m bringing out a keg of Bell’s Expedition. This one is not aged a year, unfortunately, only 8 months!
And, possibly some other special things, to remain secret.
And, a cask from Surly, no word on which one, yet.The special beers will start flowing at 6pm. Hope to see you at the Blue Nile, Tuesday, June 30!
Update: The cask of Surly will be tea-bagged Furious.
Here’s a quick reminder… don’t miss out on this opportunity!
