Barley John’s Beer Release: Extra Special Lager

I had the pleasure of tasting this beer at Winterfest and I’m happy to say that Barley John’s new lager is a good’n.

Extra Special Lager (7.3%abv): This pre-prohibition style lager has been enjoying our new dedicated lagering tank. Brewed using Czech Saaz hops and our special Lager yeast blend, this high gravity winter pilsner was made to offset the traditional Winter Warmers while still delivering the same end result – the Extra Special. Enjoy $2.00 pints of our Ex. Sp. Lager Thursday night from 8-10pm.

While we are on the subject of Dinners – Barley John’s will be featuring a special/romantic Valentines Dinner (2/14/07). The menu is still in the works, but from experience it will be spectacular.
