Pillage the Village

Summit is sponsoring a pub crawl through Stadium Village on Friday, Sept. 17. Five bars have teamed up to do the crawl and will all feature $2 Summit drafts all day. The only catch is you have to buy a souvenir Summit mug for $1 to get the deal. Participating bars are Stub & Herb’s, Campus Pizza, Sally’s, Big Ten and Applebee’s. Stub’s is planning on having at least 5 Summits to choose from and will have a cask of the Belgian Golden (the cask will not be included on the $2 special unfortunately).

Leech Lake Brewing News

Leech Lake Brewing in Walker is planning to open their tap room for the first time during Ethnic Fest in Walker – Friday, Sept. 10 & Sat., Sept. 11, from 10 AM to 8 PM both days. Their first two beers will be available for sampling and to take home in growlers. Eventually they expect to have five (or more) beers on tap.
Secondly, they kegged the first batch of beer, the Loch Leech Monster Scottish Ale on Sunday. From what I understand, you can expect to see their beer in a 75 mile radius of Walker at first and no doubt they’ll expand according to demand.
