Juno sent this a couple of days ago… on the verge of Minnesota’s abrupt transition from early fall to winter. He’s either cruel or really funny. In any case…
Save the Date! The 2010 St Paul Summer Beer Fest will occur on June 20th, 2010 from 12pm-5pm. Tickets will go on sale March 21st, 2010 at noon. Last year sold out with over 2000+ attendees. There were over 50 craft breweries from MN and beyond, live music, food, and the fun atmosphere of Midway Stadium of the St. Paul Saints. The 2010 St Paul Summer Beer Fest will be bigger and better (more breweries)!
I had a great time with friends last year at their inaugural event. Word of warning. Bring sunscreen!
The Beer Dabbler Showcase will be at the St. Paul Winter Carnival this year. Stop down to a Mears Park in downtown St. Paul on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 from 3:30pm – 7:30pm for beer from 40+ breweries, outdoor fires and more. With any luck, perhaps a brewery or two will heat up a few gallons of beer and mull it like Town Hall occasionally does. Mmm.
Ticket Information:
$20 ticket when you buy at any of the 8 locations prior to Jan 22nd (see locations)
$20 plus a service charge of $3 per ticket when you order online anytime

$25 at the door

Thanks to Marty for the info…
Heads up to those of you going to be up in the St. Cloud Area in the next couple of weekends there’s going to be some great events at The Cork and Cask. On Friday (Dec 11th), a rep from Cold Spring Brewery will be pouring Old Johnnie Ale, Moonlight Pale Ale and John Henry from about 3-6 to show off the new 12 packs of bottles those beers will be coming in. Also, next Saturday (Dec 18) we’ll be sampling Belgian beers pretty much ALL DAY, though the most variety will be out around 3-6 pm. Not sure what I’ll have open but Troubadour Obscura, Petrus Golden Tripel, and Monk’s Cafe will I’m sure be in the mix. The Cork and Cask is located at the intersection of Highway 23 and I-94 in St. Cloud, about an hour from Maple Grove.
