Town Hall Update

An update from Town Hall:

Hey All,
We have a big switch in beer happening at the Town Hall Brewery. Starting today we will be pouring Red Ochre Irish Ale. This is a traditional beer brewed just in time for St. Patrick’s Day and it is the first recipe from Adam (our newest brewer).

Monday 3/12 we will release Single Malt. A beer brewed with 100% Golden Promise Malt (the same stuff The Macallen used to make their world famous whiskey). 5-6pm $2 pints of Single Malt.

Wednesday 3/14 look for Pot Of Gold Potato Stout. This popular seasonal is a classic Irish Stout that should float on top of Single Malt, Pub and maybe the Red Ale.

Remember, they are all on special each Wednesday from 5-6pm!

April 7 marks the repeal of that nasty prohibition! To celebrate we will “Roll out the Barrel”. Look for a single keg from our barrel aged cellar. The beer will be released when we open at 12pm. And look for a bluegrass jam beginning at 1pm in the back lounge!

Cheers
Mike

Barley John’s Beer Release: Double IPA

Word on the street is that today was “Cask Beer Tuesday” at Barley John’s. Their current offering is a Double IPA that will be pulled until it’s gone. Here’s their description of the beer (which sounds quite nice, btw):

Our inaugural effort for the hopped up version of an IIPA – Amarillo hops used in excess with supporting roles played by Cascade and East Kent Goldings. Citrus aroma with tons of hoppy goodness. We implemented a simple yet potent grain bill to balance the excess of hops – your not going to burn out your taste buds on bitterness but you’ll know that there is more than the usual dosage of hops in your glass. This is all evidenced by the hop induced haze in the glass (we don’t filter or use clarifiers) – there is plenty of hop residue in this one!

Town Hall Beer Release: Rubicon Wheat Wine

Hey All,
Beer release time on Monday 2/26 5:00pm.

We set Josh free… he went to Portland, OR and it seems like he learned some things in his time there!

I asked him to do a recipe and what did I get…a @##&*^$^%*% Belgian Wheat Wine.

So stop down on Monday and try a glass (10oz)of Rubicon for just $2 from 5-6pm.
You will love it….it’s really good.

Make sure you track down Josh and let him know what you think.

Cheers,
Mike
