Celebrate V’Day with Barley John’s

Is there a better way to say, “I love you,” than treating your sweetie to great beer? Not in my house!

Barley John’s, probably the first of many, is offering a special menu to help you celebrate.

We will be taking reservations for both Saturday and Sunday this year.

We are normally closed on Sunday, but seeing as how the official Valentines date falls on a Sunday we will be opening the pub for a limited regular menu as well as our special Valentines menu.

We will be open normal hours on Saturday (2/13/10) with our standard menu as well as our Valentines Dinner Menu.

We will only be open from 5pm-9pm on 2/14/10 – limited menu + Valentines Dinner available.

We will announce the details on the dinner shortly, mark your calendars and give us a call to make your reservations: 651-636-4670.

McCann’s Blacked Out Outmeal Stout

McCann’s Blacked Out Oatmeal Stout Winter Edition is now on tap in St. Cloud. Their Winter Dark Seasonal is brewed with the English pale ale and dark roasted malts and a generous addition of oatmeal in the mash to increases the body. Chris has have added even more malt in the winter edition of this beer, so it packs a even bigger wallop (8%abv) to ward off the outside cold. Says Laumb, “Hints of chocolate and espresso mingle with a velvet like mouthfeel creating a truly enjoyable brew.”

Also today, Fitger’s is putting Saison Des Voyageurs, a Belgian style ale brewed with coriander and grains of paradise, on tap.

Over at Groveland Tap, their Beer Engine Feature of the Week is Surly Oak Aged Cynic Ale.

Michelle Leon at City Pages has chosen Great Waters’ St. Peter Pale Ale as Drink of the Week.

And last, but most certainly not least, The Blue Nile will be tapping Bell’s Hopslam Sunday at midnight.
