El Jefe tapping at Rock Bottom

Spring its way, pushing aside the stouts and porters of the last few months to make way for the hefes.

Rock Bottom in Minneapolis will be tapping its version, El Jefe, on the 23rd. This German style hefeweizen is brewed with 50% wheat and a yeast that lends a fruit crispness to the beer.

Town Hall Hefe Release

Nudge your summer beer taste buds out of hibernation and head on down to Town Hall on Monday.

Well we believe the time has come –

This coming Monday 4/13 we are going to release the first Hefeweizen of the season. The weather dude says 60 degrees…..I think if you all come to drink wheat beer we can get 65 or 70! See you Monday at the 5pm release.

The Germans like to call wheat beer “breakfast beer”. John is going to make you an omelet for your small plate. Really, eggs are great with wheat beer…. come check it out for yourself.

Cheers!

Family Tree Clinic will host their 9th annual Arborfest in St. Paul, MN on Friday, May 1 from 5:30 PM – 9 PM. The evening will feature the best locally hand-crafted beers to sample from over 16 local breweries and brewpubs, live music, tasty eats, a raffle that includes beer swag, and non-alcoholic drinks.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Family Tree Clinic. Family Tree Clinic’s mission is to provide quality, affordable, confidential reproductive and sexual health care services to diverse communities. “Arborfest is a great opportunity to have fun with your friends while giving back to the community by supporting the clinic’s work” says Deb Wilkens-Costello, Executive Director of Family Tree Clinic.

Begun in 2000, Arborfest has become the “spring” event to attend in St. Paul. It allows people to come together in support of a valuable community resource while at the same time satisfying their interest in tasting and learning about what is new on the local craft beer-brewing scene.
