If you ask me, Beachscrat should probably get free Surly for this one… he built up an old Schwinn Varsity and converted to a fixed gear drive train… no brakes, no gears, no coasting. He named it “Darkness” in honor of his favorite beer. “Which, much like my bike is strong, dark, really friggin’ heavy, and smoother than a Lexus (better gas mileage too).” Enjoy!

Hurrah! Finally! The brand-spanking-new, much-awaited MN Craft Brewer’s Guild website is up and open for business. Just in time for Autumn Brew Review, too…
Okay, so it’s not entirely beer-related, but a lot of MNBeer readers dig bikes, and of course we’re all down with the local thing. Hence, I’ve been digging Twin Six, a local company that designs cycling gear that deviates from the norm. Good stuff. To keep this beer-related, I suggest you check out the brewpub jersey, brewpub t-shirt… ladies, too… and of course they have pint glasses and coasters… the real question, though, is how much local beer could I fit in this bag?
Today! Stockyard IPA with 1 oz. of Amarillo and 1 oz. of Crystal. It looks as if the Kolsch is gone as well as the ESB, leaving Dark Knight and Rosie’s Old Ale as the seasonal offerings. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see another offering from Barley John’s soon…
