This seems consistent with our traffic over the years. People are loving good craft & local beers – from the person in your circle of friends that you’d never think would love anything more than Coors Light to the young woman sitting near me at the bar trying to tell her friend about farmhouse ales.
My homemade beer-story search algorithm (i.e. my randomly clicking around the innerwebs) came up with this story on msnbc.com on beers that are seeing major declines in sales over the last 5 to 10 years. The source of the data was 247wallst.com, but I couldn’t find a link to any data on the site after an extensive 15 seconds of searching. Kind of interesting in a depressing sort of way. Enjoy it for what it’s worth.
Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster and renowned author Garrett Oliver will be hosting a food and beer pairing seminar as well as talking about and signing copies of his new book The Oxford Companion to Beer at Grumpy’s in Roseville, October 9th, 6-9pm.
