Rush River Cask Beer Dinner

Due to the overwhelming number of events this week, this dinner will be rescheduled for a date in the near future. Stay tuned for more details!

Head over to Senor Wong’s in downtown St. Paul this Thursday for an all-cask four course Rush River beer dinner. Meet and greet starts at 6 pm, with featured casks of Uber Alt, Nevermore Chocolate Oatmeal Stout with coffee, Lyndale Brown Ale with pomegranate green tea and Bubblejack IPA. Tickets are $50 and reservations can be obtained by calling the restaurant at 651-224-2019.

Zipp’s Spring Beer Extravaganza

Tickets are still available for Zipp’s Spring Beer Extravaganza this coming Thursday!

In celebration of Minnesota Craft Beer Week, there will be over 100 different craft beers to sample from around the country. Breweries participating include, Odell, Dark Horse, Flat Earth, Olvalde, Crispin, Magic Hat, Deschutes, Bells, Tallgrass, Stone, 21st Amendment and many, many more!

The event is being held at the Cedar Cultural Center, runs from 6:30-9 and $25 gets you all the craft beer you wish to (responsibly) imbibe. There will also be a silent auction with tons of beer swag with all proceeds to benefit the Cedar. MN Craft Beer Week Bicycle Pub Crawl Saturday

The ride begins at Cafe Twenty-Eight for breakfast and a special Surly offering at 10 AM. Then roll off to Busters on 28th, Pracna on Main, the Nomad and end at Stanley’s NE for  a Schell’s tent party. Answer trivia questions at each stop for a chance to win 2 growlers per month for a year from Town Hall Brewery.

To participate, all you need is bike and helmet. To participate in the prize drawing, you’ll need your MN Beer Week Passport.

May 17th @ Heritage Liquor. Live Oak and Wild Yeast: Featuring Bryan Bertsch

Wild beer and locally made, oak fermented kombucha….. MMmmmmmm…..

Tonight  (May 17th) at Heritage Liquor, local Kombucha brewery Bryan Bertsch will share his St. locally made Kombucha – the hard tea popularized in Asia. Bryan ferments this kombucha in oak at his St. Paul based brewery.

Also being poured are a selection of traditional wild beers from Jolly Pumpkin (Michigan) and Hanssens (Belgium) along with a great farmhouse beer from Brasserie de Blaugies (Belgium).  Copies of the just released 2nd edition of Lambicland (Tim Webb) will also be available to purchase at the event.
