The Beer Dabbler Showcase will be a part of the 124th St. Paul Winter Carnival, the nation’s oldest
and largest winter festival. On Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 3:30 to 7:30 pm, Lowertown St. Paul’s Mears Park will be filled with fire pits, lights, and beer. For $20 you’ll get a 7 oz. commemorative tasting glass and you can sample beers til contentment.

Duane from Liquor Barrel in Golden Valley dropped us a line about an event tonight. Yup. The “D” word. Darkness. At 5:30pm, the first forty people to show up at the store will be able to draw a ticket for a one in four chance to buy one of their last 10 bottles of Surly Darkness. All other participants will receive $1.00 off a four pack of Surly of their choice.
