Bell’s Big Ale Night is at the Happy Gnome on Wednesday February 13th. It starts at 7pm. Buy sample flights of four beers or purchase a pint of any on it’s own.

Alvey called me the other week to give me the official scoop. I had been hinting for more details after hearing about it from a fellow bicycle enthusiast while enjoying fermented beverages at a birthday party. In any case, I’ll make you listen/watch to get all of the details, but you can keep your eyes peeled for a new craft beer store in the Twin Cities with an emphasis on local, craft and import beer. They’ll have things like brewery signage, glassware, etc. too. They won’t have hard liquor, crappy beer, 40s, etc. Watch and learn more about The Convict’s Pint.
Sunday’s Duluth New Tribune had a nice front page article on the lawsuit between Fitger’s On-The-Lake (the company that owns the Fitger’s brewery complex) and Doug Donnelly, a descendant of August Fitger, who tried to market “A. Fitger & Co. lager beer.”
