Town Hall Beer Release & Brunch

Minneapolis Town Hall is releasing yet another beer this Wednesday, Honeymoon Ale. I was there on Saturday and enjoyed the Simcoe Pale Ale (on cask, no less) and the Grand Cru. Very nice.

Hey all,
Another Wednesday approaches and so does another beer to release. Wednesday, 9/6 we will release our Honeymoon Ale. This is brewed for Kristen and Jamie who were married last Saturday and are soon off on their honeymoon. This beer resembles the Anniversary Ale…seemed appropriate.

Autumn Brew Review

Autumn Brew Review takes place in a little more than a month. Do you have your tickets? I’ve got mine (VIP, no less), but I was reminded of this lovely little event today while visiting Midwest for some grain today. I couldn’t help but notice these cool little coasters that serve as a reminder that Autumn Brew Review is on its way. Can you taste the beer? Can you?! Heh. I can! (Oh wait, that’s the New Holland Mad Hatter IPA in my glass…)

Tap Updates

Browse the tap listings at right and you’ll notice a few changes here and there. First off, Bandana Brewery is down to two beers, their St. Peter Red and the Walnut Grove ESB.

I spoke with someone from the Brauhaus in Lucan, MN today and they won’t have anything on tap for about four weeks as they’re moving their brewery off-site. I’m anxious to learn more.

Great Waters now has a stout on cask and Tighty Whitey Wit on tap. Rumor has it that they’ll have an English pale ale on cask in a few days.

Green Mill Brewing Co. over in St. Paul has a raspberry wheat along with a honey brown ale as seasonal offerings, The Herkimer now has an Oktoberfest, Dortmunder lager and their Tooler’s Weiss in addition to their regular line-up, Minneapolis Town Hall has a surprise (?) Grand Cru on tap along with their smoked porter and Simcoe pale ale and Rock Bottom will be tapping their “Rocktoberfest” in less than two weeks!

Prost!

Simcoe is back at Minneapolis Town Hall

Hot damn, Minneapolis Town Hall has brought back a favorite, Simcoe Pale Ale. It’s a wonderful hop, some have suggested that it’s piney or citrusy. Certainly they may be on to something, however I like to think of it as almost fruit punch-like… for a hop, anyway. In any case, I’ll save you the babble and give you the lowdown…

Yep,
That’s right! You asked for Simcoe, so we made it. Tomorrow is the day (8/30). Get your pint of Simcoe Pale Ale for a buck from 5-6pm.

Cheers

P.S. The annual Autumn Brew Review is quickly approaching (10/7 this year). We will again serve as a ticket outlet for you fine folks, so you can pick them up here for the advance price. Last year this event nearly sold out, this year we expect that it will. So get your tickets early. Don’t worry….there will be more toilets and the site will be configured to fully utilize Peavy Plaza thus giving you more room. Should be a blast!
WE DO NOT HAVE TICKETS AT THE BREWERY UNTIL NEXT WEEK. AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE I WILL LET YOU KNOW. PLEASE DO NOT ASK OUR STAFF FOR TICKETS UNTIL I LET YOU KNOW THAT WE HAVE THEM.
