I ordered them today through Ticketworks. Actually, I ordered six for a small crowd of thirsty beer fans. That leaves less than 192 tickets for the rest of you.

If you want Winterfest tickets, don’t mess around. Tickets will go on sale on Thusday, December 1st (that’s 1st, not 2nd… thanks David) at noon through only through Ticketworks. This even will sell out. (Something like 200 tickets are up for sale and that’s it, kids.)

This year’s Winterfest will be held at the St. Paul College Club on January 14th, from 6:30 to 9:30. Tickets are $30 and include a tasting glass, appetizer bar and live music from the Jaztronauts. Good times.

Remember, this event will sell out and you can only get tickets through Ticketworks. Local brewpubs won’t have ’em!

On Wednesday, Minneapolis Town Hall will be rolling out the heather ale, a beer “hopped” with heather instead of hops. The use of heather in beer predates hopes and seems to have been of Scottish descent. Regardless, Town Hall will be tapping this beer tomorrow, so check it out

Kansas City isn’t exactly our target market (btw, anyone who tells you that Boulevard’s pale ale is better than Summit’s is high), but one of our local enterprises, Granite City, has just opened a new restaurant/microbrewery in Kansas City.

Not to be outdone by the “Black Friday” craziness and underpriced POS DVD players at your local chain store, Norther Brewer will be holding a special SALE on Friday, November 25th. The store will be open from 8am to 7pm. They’ll be serving up coffee and donuts in the morning and have food made with beer available later in the day. And of course in the shop (not online, fools), they’ll be having the following specials:
