All MN Taps at Ngon Vietnamese Bistro

This is so nice to see… Hai from Ngon Vietnamese Bistro dropped me a line to let me know that they just added 12 taps to their restaurant. Even better, they’re ONLY pouring Minnesota-made beers! They commissioned a local artist to design a tap tower to represent local brews. Very nice. Here’s their lineup:

Surly Furious & Bender
Lift Bridge Farm Girl & Drifter
Brau Brothers Ring Neck
Summit Oatmeal Stout & Winter
Schell’s Firebrick
Grain Belt Premium
Flat Earth Cygnus X1
Lake Superior Mesabi Red & Kayak Kolsch

I’ve never been there. Looks like I’ll have to now…

Their standard Vietnamese fair–pho, bun salad, etc–are some of the best in town, and the French-Vietnamese specialties are out of this world. Also, their bottle selection is amazing–mostly MN beers, with the full line of offerings.

  6. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. I agree with Eric, it’s my favorite Vietnamese restaurant also.

  7. Hey Eric, we should meet there for a beer one evening…

Looks like Vietnamese food this weekend.

They have this pork dish that is unreal. Has a fried egg in it-what’s not to like about that? And yeah, the beer selection was top notch even before the new tap tower!

I, too, am overdue for a visit if they have great Vietnamese food and such an excellent tap list.
About time other ethnic restaurants got into craft brew, especially local. I can’t tell you how many times at the Nile people have asked me “why”?
    Why? Because we like you!

The only bad part of this deal is I normally go there for lunch which means no beer. 🙁

Kudos to Ngon that is a great selection and just one more reason to make this a destination for dinner.

  13. Awesome! A great restaurant just got better.

Todd and I went yesterday for late lunch early dinner, great food. Always been a fan of Quang but usually got it to go because of the no beer thing. So now we have a spot to go that has a great atmoshpere, great food anf great beer.
