Brewery Ommegang Cheese Pairing at The Republic

Brewery Ommegang is taking over The Republic this Thursday evening. They will be offering 5 beer selections paired with five different artisan cheeses. Each pairing will run you $6 and they will be available all evening, while supplies last of course. The menu will look something like this:

Hennepin 4 month aged Manchego and quince paste

Abbey Jasper Hill Farm Winnimere, home-brew washed and wrapped in spruce bark

Rare Vos Parmigiano Reggiano and orange balsamic

3 Philosophers Northern Light Bleu with cherry & cocoa nib crostini

BPA Cabot Creamery Cheddar and quince mostarda

Rush River Brews & Kobe Beef Sliders

The Bulldog Northeast will be offering 2 Rush River Cask Conditioned beers this evening, as well as 2 other Rush River brews on tap. Each beer selection has been specially paired with a cheese to top The Bulldog’s Kobe Beef Sliders. The following beer & slider combinations will be available:

Small Axe Golden Ale (tap) with Passendale Cheese

Unforgiven Amber (tap) with Bucheron Cheese

Bubblejack IPA (Cask) with Valdeon Cheese

Uber Alt (Cask) with Affinoise Cheese

The pairings will be available from 6-9pm tonight.  And, if the pairings just aren’t enough, Dan from Rush River will also be hanging out for a meet and greet.

Southern Tier Black Solstice

It’s the longest day of the year, and to celebrate Southern Tier Brewing Company is bringing out some very dark brews. The Happy Gnome will be putting the following Southern Tier beers on draft this evening:

choklat- an imperial chocolate stout

oat – an imperial oatmeal stout

mokah – a stout brewed with chocolate and coffee

iniquity – an imperial black ale

The kegs are being tapped at 6:00pm which gives you plenty of time to make it out before the sun sets!

An Evening with Great Lakes

Looking for something new to taste tonight? Lucky for you Great Lakes Brewing Company has brought a couple of their pub exclusive brews to the Twin Cities. Starting at 4:00pm both The Acadia Cafe & Washington Square will be featuring Great Lakes beers. Available on draft at Washington Square will be Holy Moses White Ale, Lake Erie Monster & pub exclusive Engine 20 – a Smoked Pale Ale. All three of those selections will be available at The Acadia Cafe as well as another pub exclusive, their Grand Cru – a Spiced Belgian Style Ale.

Hatter Day at Buster’s on 28th

If you missed out on the New Holland Hatter Day Festivities last week, don’t worry! Tonight starting at 5pm Buster’s on 28th will be hosting another event featuring variations of  Mad Hatter IPA. Available on draft will be Rye Hatter, Farmhouse Hatter & Oak Aged Hatter. There will also be a special cask of the original Mad Hatter for your enjoyment.
