Ryan Anderson (that's me!) is the editor & founder of MNBeer. Much has changed since the fall of 2005 and I'm proud to have been a part of it all. Sometime I'll tell you about my grand theory that links craft brewing to punk rock. Just ask.

Winterfest Update; Win Tickets, Education, Win Snowshoes… and the program…

Eh. Here’s what you want to see first. Follow the link and look right… there’s the program link… enjoy!

Secondly, for those of you not lucky enough to have tickets in hand, you have another chance to win tickets!

Now’s your chance to name your beer. If you had the chance to name a brewery or brewpub’s beer, what would it be? Share the name with us and a short description (50 words or less) of what it means and you could win tickets to Winterfest. Please email your submission to minnesotabrewers@gmail.com by 10am CST on Friday, February 4 2011. Winning names will be put on a will call list. Please note that by submitting a name to the Guild for this contest, you forfeit rights to the name and description. Now, let those creative juices flow!

Thirdly, for those of you needing a bit of an education, Michael Agnew from A Perfect Pint will be there edumakating people on things such as beer styles and sensory analysis. Doug Hoverson, author of Land of Amber Waters will be there with with a beer history/breweriana display & great stories to back them up.

And fourthly, if you remember to vote for the Great Snowshoe award this year, you’ll be entered in a raffle to win a pair of snowshoes that are great in their own respect courtesy of Hoigaard’s: Tubb’s Wilderness 25s – a $219 value.

Fulton News: New Website, Equipment Ordered…

Check it… www.fultonbeer.com

Ok, so we know it’s a little late to wish you Happy New Year (though we once got Happy New Year’d in March), but we’re doing it anyway. We hope 2011 has gotten off to a great start for you. It’s been an exciting year for us already, but there’s much more to come. Read on…
New Website!

Our new website is officially live! We’ve been working on it for almost a year with Pixel Farm, a fantastic Minneapolis agency. Though we’ll miss that familiar Atari 2600 feel of our old site, we could not be more pleased with how the new site turned out. It’s at the same address (www.fultonbeer.com) as before, so check it out when you have a moment. We’ll be keeping it updated with new beers, an events calendar, and a blog about everything going on in the world of Fulton. You’ll be able to track the progress of our new brewery construction there as well.
New Brewing Equipment!

Sure, the new website is exciting, but as long as we were at it, we thought we’d order some new brewing equipment as well. Earlier this month, we placed an order for a 20 barrel steam-fired brewhouse from DME, one of North America’s most respected and experienced equipment manufacturers. The brewhouse and tanks won’t arrive until at least June, but we have plenty of work to do between now and then to get the brewery ready for the equipment. Head over to http://fultonbeer.com/blog/just-ordered-equipment-for-our-minneapolis-brewery/ for more information on the equipment — and be sure to check back often as we update our progress.
The Worthy Adversary lurks…

Lest you think we’ve forgotten what we’re here for, fear not: we’ve been hard at work  in the brewery, trying to keep up with demand for Sweet Child of Vine and to get the Worthy Adversary out as well. The good news: the Worthy Adversary will be hitting Twin Cities tap lines in early February. We’ll announce release events and other news at http://fultonbeer.com/blog/, so check back once in a while.

Also, we’ll be debuting an infused cask of War & Peace (Worthy Adversary with whole bean Peace Coffee) at the Beer Dabbler in St. Paul this weekend, so those of you who picked up tickets, be sure to swing by our booth for a sample.
