MNBeer.com 3.5 Year Anniversary Party SATURDAY

Here’s the scoop for our 3.5 Year Anniversary party at Stub & Herb’s on Saturday night. Details subject to change as the week moves on. First and foremost, we’ll have four casks of beer, Lift Bridge double-hopped pale ale, Summit IPA dry-hopped with Amarillo, Surly Bitter Brewer (conditioned on birch and dry-hopped with Glacier), a fass of Zommerfest from Schell’s and something from Brau Brothers. We’ll tap the casks around 8pm with plenty of beautiful noise from bagpipes.

Half of all cask beer proceeds will be donated to the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild. Cool, eh?

At that point, we suggest you grab a pint or two of cask beer and hang out and socialize for a bit. At about 8:45 we’ll do some toasts, hear Josh Pepper’s “Beer Commandments” (the first five, anyway) and then give away swag. We’ve got t-shirts, gift certificates, hats, bar signage, etc. After that, we suggest you stick around and chat it up with all of your beery friends and perhaps make some new friends… oh yeah, and you have to drain those casks!

Unrelated: At about 10pm or so, Stub & Herb’s will be hosting beer pong with, I believe, kegs from Summit. This isn’t our event, but it’s set to coincide with a film festival that features a documentary (?) on the world championships of beer pong.

Cask Two Hearted Two for Ones at the Blue Nile

Pulled from BA:

Okay, folks, Tuesday, April 14, at the Blue Nile, there will be a little mini family re-union of the McCarty clan (that’s my family), various cousins and such that I haven’t seen for years, meeting up with me and my siblings. (I have a large family, if you didn’t know.)

Well, Tuesdays are sometimes slow in the afternoons, so to liven in up and lure in the beery kind (you guys!)..a firkin of Two Hearted Ale, and the usual 2-4-ones apply. Have a Surly 16 Grit, get a cask Two hearted on us!

It’ll be on til it’s gone…but the 2-4-1’s is the usual time, 4-6, & 8-10pm,

thanks, and
cheers,
