Tony at Grumpy’s NE just dropped me a line to let everyone know that they will be tapping a cask of Cynic aged on ashwood. This will be the first time that this beer has been available. 4pm, Friday, Janurary 9th. Drink up!

Hey, here’s a little note from Bill at Princeton’s regarding a cool upcoming event with the brewer from Dark Horse:
My friend Mike Earnheart from Dark Horse brewery contacted me the other day to tell me he will be in MN in January. He than told me he wanted to do a tasting at the store and will be brining along one of the Dark Horse Brewers. So that got me thinking, lets do something a little different. Instead of them standing at a post, lets do something a bit cooler. So here it is.
On Monday January 19th, from 6pm to 8pm, Mike and a yet to be named brewer will be in store. Starting at 6, there will be a meet and greet. Than, at 6:30, we will venture to the back room where the brewer will discuss Dark Horse, sample Dark Horse and take questions about Dark Horse.
Because there is limited room and this is a free event, I need people to RSVP
So email me at either Bill@princetonsliquors.com or info@princetonsliquors.com to let me know that you plus anyone else is coming. Once again this event is free and there will be limited space(standing room only), so email me right away. This is just a great chance to meet someone who is producing some amazing brews. As everyone knows, Dark Horse is one of my favorite breweries. So come on in and join us for this great opportunity. You ever wanted to know how many blue berries go in to Tres? Here is your chance!!!!
SORRY! We’re going to change the date for the MNBeer.com 2.5 Year Anniversary one last time! In an effort to avoid overlapping with Gitchee Gummee, we inadvertently scheduled the even the night before Easter. That didn’t fly with some people, so now the official date is April 18th. Solid. Really. I promise.
I wish I had time to visit Duluth and the Brewhouse…
Brewhouse Beer Releases:
Amsterdam Ale – hybrid pils/pale Belgian style beer. Soft pils notes with strong fruit esters and a dry finish [this beer is well-loved by at least some of the MNBeer.com staff]
Cask Brewhouse Pub Ale – English style light cream ale
Red Star & Burrito Union Beer Releases
Farmhouse Special Reserve – Farmhouse is a Belgian style saison ale. Fermers and rural folks traditionally brewed saisons in the spring for fall and winter drinking. We brewed our Farmhouse as holiday ale this year, adding ginger, coriander, grains of paradise and sweet orange peel. The light color and body hides a complex beer with many flavors and a dry finish.
