Wow! Chalk another brewery in for Minnesota in 2011. Boom Island Brewing Company will be launching their first two beers tonight at Pig & Fiddle from 6pm ’til close! They will have their Silvius Pale Ale and Thoprock IPA available for your drinking pleasure. I’ve yet to try them, though as you’ll read on their website, they’re positioning themselves as a Belgian-style brewery with a dubbel & tripel to follow. We’ll share more info as we get it.

Tonight Gingerhop will be featuring Lagunitas Brewing Company for their flight night. The beer starts flowing at 5pm with 3 Lagunitas beers on draft, including Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale.
Haven’t had enough sweets this Holiday Season? Well, Blackbird Cafe has got you covered. Today starting at 3pm they will be offering flights of beer paired with traditional Holiday candy. The flights will include Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge paired with chocolate covered cherries, Sunner Kolsch paired with chocolate covered pretzels & Tilburg’s Dutch Brown Ale paired with peanut brittle. All the candies are made in house & the special will run until they run out!
Tonight at The Bulldog Lyndale, Southern Tier Brewing Company will be taking over their taps! 13 delicious Southern Tier beers will be pouring starting at 7pm. Some of the brews include Phin & Matt’s, Pumking, Oat & Creme Brulee.
Better Beer Society presents the Twin Cities premiere screening of “The Love of Beer” documentary at Bryant Lake Bowl. “The Love of Beer” is a feature length documentary out of Portland, OR that celebrates women in the beer industry.
Join BBS and an industry filled panel, as we celebrate our own women in the Minnesota beer scene, enjoy some great food and beers, and discuss ways that you too can be involved or simply show your support!
Theater will open at 5pm to allow for a social networking hour, followed up with special guest speakers. Showtime will begin at 7pm. (run time 82 mins)
