Bell’s Beer Dinner at Cherokee Tavern

Cherokee Tavern in West St. Paul will be hosting a Bell’s Beer dinner October 14th. For $40/person get a four course dinner prepared by Chef Francesca Stirpe, paired with beers from Bell’s Brewing.

Happy Hour Hor’dourves:
Bell’s Two Hearted and Porter paired with delicious and simple – imported meats, salamis, cheeses and hand-cut veggies (and our ranch!), served with homemade crackers.

Frist Course:
Best Brown paired with Autumn Harvest Squash Bisque Soup
Acorn squash, roasted shallots, onions, carrots and parsnips blended with a rich roasted vegetable-beer stock-garnished with seasoned Greek goat crema

Second Course:
Consecrator Doppelbock paired with Mustard and Roasted Garlic Crusted Pork Loin
Studded with roasted garlic, fresh rosemary and coated with coarse-grained French mustard, served with balsamic-beer brussels sprouts and a beer infused meat-jus cream sauce.

Third Course:
Quinanan Falls paired with Salad of Winter Greens
Apples and Pecans; doused with a vinaigrette of roasted pear, beer and sherry vinegar.

Fourth Course:
Double Cream Stout paired with Molten Chocolate Lava Cake
Quenelles of Izzy’s Ice cream – served with a dried cheery stout sauce.

Haute Dish Beer Extravaganza

Man, lots of awesome $hit happening in the days leading up to ABR. Here’s one more you won’t want to miss. Sure, it’s tagged as a beer dinner, but this one is so much more.

Haute Dish is offering a Six Course Beer Dinner featuring the following brewery, er, reps and their beer.

Larry Bell, owner of Bell’s Brewing
David Engbers, owner of Founders Brewing
Jeff Brown, owner of Boulder Beer
Tony Magee, owner of Lagunitas
Matt Long, brewmaster at Big Sky Brewing

5:30-6:30 Meet and Greet
6:45 seating

The beer list will consist of several hard-to-find beers from these breweries paired with Chef Landon Shoenfeld’s delicious food.

Summit Pairings in Grand Marais

Summit is teaming up with Chez Jude in Grand Marais to offer two food and beer pairing events.

First, on October 9th there will be a five course pairing dinner.

First Course: Chef Crafted Bison Wild Rice Bratwurst, Beer & Brown Mustard Aioli, Wood Fire Baked Beer Cracker, Wild Rice Gouda Cheese, Fig Chutney

Second Course: Mussels Steamed in Beer, Creme Fraiche, Herbs

Third Course: Wood Fire Roasted Pekin Duck Breast, Arugala Salad, Honey Thyme Scented Red Ale Glace
