After a holiday hiatus, our Heritage in Maplewood is bring back their Thursday Tastings! On Thursday, February 16th they’ll be pouring samples from the newest addition to the Minnesota market, Green Bay’s Hinterland. They’ll have samples of their Maple Bock, Coffee Stout and IPA for you to try from 5-7PM.

Fulton War & Peace Growlers Saturday
Growler’s of Fulton’s War and Peace (a Peace Coffee-infused imperial stout) will be available at the brewery at Saturday starting at noon. I’d expect they’ll run out, so be there early if you want one. $18.
We picked up about 15 lbs …. of whole bean Guatemalan Dark Roast from our friends over at Peace Coffee. Pete and Mikey filled two mesh bags with the coffee beans and lowered them into the fermenters with fishing lines (which is a key step, if you ever want to get the bags back out). After about 4 days, the War & Peace took on a wicked coffee aroma and flavor.

Schell’s Bockfest Saturday
A quick reminder that Schell’s Bockfest is Saturday at the brewery in New Ulm. $10. 11am – 4:30pm on the brewery grounds. Bring cash for beer and have a good time!
Briess Malting at Northern Brewer Minneapolis
Penny Pickart of Briess Malting Company will be at Northern Brewer in Minneapolis on Saturday, February 25th from 11am – 1pm. to talk about the history of Briess, their malting facilities, rye extract collaboration, Maltster Reserve Series and more. Free. Prizes, too!

Lift Bridge Irish Coffee Stout Release Party
Come for the party or if you have other plans for the evening, swing by in the afternoon to pick up a bottle, or two, or three.
Join the Lift Bridge Brewing Co for the release of our newest Limited Release beer. The Irish Coffee Stout will be available for the first time on tap and in 750ml bottles from the brewery. In addition to getting into the event, your ticket will get you a glass and a ticket for your first beer. The event will feature Live Music, Irish Toasts, Games and 750ml Bottle Sales.
About the Beer: It is inspired by the delightful combination of whiskey, coffee, and cream. You don’t have to be Irish and it doesn’t have to be the morning to enjoy this labor of love. Our Russian Imperial Stout was aged in whiskey barrels, then blended with a big Milk Stout, and finally infused with locally roasted cold pressed coffee.
The Tap Room will be open at from 1-4 PM. If you want to pick up a bottle and don’t want to attend the event, you can stop by from 1-4 PM to pick up your bottle for $12. Growlers and souvenirs will be available for purchase. Cash, check and most credit cards accepted.
