Art of Friendship Silent Auction & Fundraiser at Summit
Head over to Summit on Friday, June 18th from 6:00-8:30 for the Art of Friendship Silent Auction & Fundraiser. The event is $10 in advanced or $15 at the door .
The Highland Friendship Club (HFC) is a St Paul based non-profit which helps young adults with disabilities make friends, learn new skills and have fun. Purchase a beautiful piece of original art made by a HFC member or a local artist, drink one of Summit’s gold medal beers and help HFC raise money to support our summer activities and scholarships for HFC members. All kinds of stuff going on here! BrauFest kicks off tonight, with Beer Dinner at the BrauHaus, Lion’s BBQ at the park, and hopefully some homebrew to pass round the campfire. I talked to Ken from the BrauHaus last night; he has only 4 or 5 spots left for the beer dinner. Signup at 507.747.2796 if you’re interested.
Also, the Beer Guys were out to visit us in Lucan! All I can say is, what terrific ambassadors for beer. Check it out here: www.beerguystv.com it’s always fun to see someone else’s perspective on the brewery and the town.
We had a couple nice ladies stop out for a tour the other day. Rubus Black, Blackberry Imperial Porter will be on tap at the brewery this weekend! It checks in at 8.9%ABV, and has just a hint of chocolate and blackberry. It’s big, thick, malty, and tasty. Definitely different than anything we’ve done before. As soon as we get our act together, we’ll bottle it and send it out to the market. If I have time today, we may have another unreleased beer on Saturday as well. You have to show up to try it…

Flat Earth June Update
Here’s the scoop on all that’s going on this month with Flat Earth.

We have partnered with The Twin Cities Jazzfest again this year! Head down to Mears Park in St. Paul June 18th & 19th and grab a pint or three of Hep Cat Blonde Ale or the Cascade Hopped Angry Planet American Pale Ale from one of the 2 draft trailers, while listening to some cool jazz. Growler Sales are Monday thru Friday from noon to 630 p.m. and Saturdays noon to 3 p.m.. Beer sampling is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, from 3:30 to 6:30.
