Happy Birthday Lift Bridge

On September 6th, 2008, the fine folks at Lift Bridge delivered their first keg to Smalley’s in Stillwater. Here’s to many, many more years!

…and… here’s their ABR line-up:

Farm Girl Saison: This pale golden, Belgian-influenced ale is brewed in the farmhouse tradition, having a dry malt finish and spiciness that only Belgian yeasts can create. Smooth and well rounded… this one can please anyone. Enjoy!

Crosscut Pale Ale: Well balanced amber pale ale accentuated by multiple additions of floral Cascade hops and our unique introduction of grapefruit zest to compliment the citrus notes of the hops. Enjoy!

Chestnut Hill: A wonderfully big nut brown ale crafted with roasty toasty malts balanced with Yakima hops and just enough alcohol to keep you warm on a fall afternoon. This is our newest seasonal beer released in draught only, so keep your eye out for it at quality drinking establishments around the metro.

Special Tappings:

Chai Girl: (Noon) A new and interesting take on our flagship Farm Girl Saison, we have infused this brew with locally sourced exclusive Chai tea blend while ageing in the cask.  Notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and tea blend with the subtle Belgian flavors in a mellow dance.  Enjoy!

Biscotti: This unique ale was inspired by traditional biscotti.  A complex array of malts, clover honey, star anise, grains of paradise, and Belgian yeast produces an interesting culinary experience.  Enjoy!

ABR Tease: Fitger’s, McCann’s and Vine Park Lineup

Can’t wait for Saturday to find out what’s on tap at Autumn Brew Review? You’re in luck… we’ve gathered the lineup from a few breweries/brewpubs and here’s what you can look forward to:

Fitger’s Brewhouse

Park Point Pilsener: Well hopped German style pils. Hopped with Czech Saaz, Hallertau 5.5%, 45 IBU.

Breakwater Wit: This  wheat ale is brewed with unmalted wheat, and coriander, sweet orange and high ester Belgian yeast. Hopped with Cascade. 5.2%, 20 IBU

Hercules: Strong and malty this ale is a cross between an old ale and a barley wine 8.2%, 66 IBU.

Apricot Wheat: Our long time favorite marriage of fruit and spicy wheat. Breakfast beer at its best.  5.3%, 19
IBU.

El Nino Double Hopped IPA: Super hopped strong pale. Full bodied with malty notes that can’t quite balance the hop profile in this signature North Shore style IPA  7.1% 116 IBU

Blue Label Grande Reserve: Belgian style double abby. Strong fruity esters and notes of fig, raisin, and dark toffee. Long aged  9.5% 40 IBU

White Knight Wit Noir: The dark as midnight brother of Breakwater. Dark malts change the balance of coriander and sweet orange into a porterish Belgian style delight.
5.5% 18 IBU

Summit + MSP International = Happy Traveling

MSP International Airport isn’t really up to par on the food and beverage options with other airports around the country (like Portland), but things are getting better, at least if you happen to be hanging out in concourse F.

We’ve been out at the airport for awhile, but now you can really get your Summit on at the brand spanking new Ike’s on Summit, located on concourse F. What you get here is that great Ike’s menu, plus eight different Summit beers! You… can even do a tasting flight if you just can’t decide. A perfect way to spend your time waiting for a flight!
