Surly Update

News from Surly:

Hello Surly Nation,

news from Brooklyn Center:

The Taste of the Midwest in Madison was a blast. Folks loved the beer (check
out the photos) and we had a great time getting slapped around at a local
gyro shop Friday night.

We are having a tour coming up Saturday, August 26th. Noon – 3:00. Stop on
by for a beer.

We like to have fun with our beer. Beer at a movie theater – very fun.
Drinking Surly beer while watching a movie about drinking beer – its like a
dream come true. Thusly, we will be at the New Hope Cinema Grill August 30th
for a Surly screening of Beerfest, the latest movie from Broken Lizard.
Check out our calander page for specials that night.

The great thing abount the New Hope Cinema Grill; you can walk into that
movie theater and buy a beer. And, I don’t mean just like a paper cup, I’m
talking about a glass of beer.

Bad news – Surlyfest is being postponed. We simply run out of time to do
things the way we hoped. Sorry.

Cheers,
Omar

Muddy Pig/Happy Gnome Update

The 3rd annual Muddy Pig Golf Snouting is set for Tuesday, August 29. Oak Glen Golf Club in Stillwater will once again host this classic event with a noon shotgun start. The Snouting is a scramble format and players of all abilities (or no ability) are welcome. The price is $80 per person which includes range balls, green fees, cart, dinner at The Muddy Pig following the event and fabulous prizes. Registration forms are available at The Muddy Pig.

The Golf Snouting is a charitable event with proceeds going to The Children’s Crisis Nurseries of Ramsey, Washington and Dakota counties. Hole sponsorships are available for $250 which is a direct donation to the charity. We are also seeking items for door prizes, anything from smaller items like gift certificates to bigger prizes like a new car. Anything you can do would be appreciated. Contact Thea or Mark at The Muddy Pig if you can contribute. It’s for the children.

Big news at The Happy Gnome. We are now serving brunch on the patio Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 3. Great patio, great food, great beer selection. And as a special bonus there is now live music on the patio on Sundays from 1 to 4. I guess we know where you’ll be this weekend.

Drink good beer,

Mark
