Rock Bottom will be tapping their American Dream IPA. No word yet on the IBUs or what varieties of hops will be featured in this brew. Check back closer to the tapping date for more info.
UPDATE: American Dream is a “medium bodied, full flavored India Pale Ale offering bright, fruity and citrus hop flavors and aromas.” Sounds great for summer drinking!
Rock Bottom will be tapping their Bastogne Blonde. If and when, there’s more details about the beer, we’ll post ’em. In the meantime, I’ll take a stab and say it’ll be an easy drinking beer, perfect for warm weather.

All kinds of stuff going on here! BrauFest kicks off tonight, with Beer Dinner at the BrauHaus, Lion’s BBQ at the park, and hopefully some homebrew to pass round the campfire. I talked to Ken from the BrauHaus last night; he has only 4 or 5 spots left for the beer dinner. Signup at 507.747.2796 if you’re interested.

Rubus Black, Blackberry Imperial Porter will be on tap at the brewery this weekend! It checks in at 8.9%ABV, and has just a hint of chocolate and blackberry. It’s big, thick, malty, and tasty. Definitely different than anything we’ve done before. As soon as we get our act together, we’ll bottle it and send it out to the market. If I have time today, we may have another unreleased beer on Saturday as well. You have to show up to try it…

St. Paul beer (and wine) haunt Thomas Liquors has made some improvements to their website, complete with section updates, events and tastings and recent arrivals. It’s still a work-in-progress, so check back often!
Thomas is also announcing Fitty’s First Fridays (Ha! You thought it was Three Floyds, didn’t you?!), when the first Friday of every month beer manager Joe “Fitty” Fitzpatrick takes over the tasting bar from 4-7pm for a night of craft brew. This week he’ll be cracking open some Unibroue beers, some of the best craft beers to come ooot of Canada, eh.

Growler Sales are Monday thru Friday from noon to 630 p.m. and Saturdays noon to 3 p.m.. Beer sampling is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, from 3:30 to 6:30.
