Abominable Release @Town Hall

I wish I could give you the back story on the name of the beer but I’m not that much in the know. All I can guess is that some of you might think it’s abominable to release a porter in June. Well, if that’s the case, all the more for me and the rest of the porter and coffee lovers out there.

Hey All,

Hope your weekend was grand, now you are all back at work and in need of a beer! We teamed up with Peace Coffee (the roasters just down the road) and made another coffee beer. You say Coffee Porter in June…?? Well, ever had an iced coffee in the summer?

We used the Yeti Cold Press Blend from Peace Coffee this time and are happy with the results. Swing in and get some today. Wednesday is “pick a pint”, that means all of our regular priced house made pints are just $2.50 from 5-6pm. Wow, that is cheap for quality craft beer….we do what we can for you guys-

Cheers
Mike

Fulton @Pizza Luce

For the month of June the downtown location of Pizza Luce will be featuring Fulton beers which means $3 pints. The guys will be on hand on the 8th so if you’re in the area (for a Twins game or otherwise), stop on down and have a slice and a pint.

Fulton June Events

Here’s what we’re up to this month. Be sure to keep an eye on our website and Facebook page, as we add new events all the time.

Tuesday, June 8th: Pizza Luce Downtown is featuring our beers this month, which means $3 pints for you! Luce DT is a great place to grab a slice and a pint before a Twins game, which is exactly what we’ll be doing from 5:00 to 7:00 on the 8th.

Tuesday, June 15th: As you (hopefully) know, patio season is in full swing by now. The Longfellow Grill has one of the best, and what better way to celebrate it than with a Lonely Blonde? Join us for one (or more) from 6:00 to 9:00. And why not bike there? Longfellow is just off the Greenway.

Sunday, June 20th: What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than by taking dad to the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest? Join us and 70+ other breweries for one of the best beer festivals in the Twin Cities. Visit www.saintpaulsummerbeerfest.com for more information and to purchase tickets.

Tuesday, June 29th: We’ll be heading to Cherokee Tavern for a beer dinner. Beer dinners are all great, but they can be dollar–and calorie–intensive affairs. Cherokee is putting together a lighter offering with 3 courses: a Lonely Blonde & fruit/cheese pairing, Sweet Child of Vine matched with a Fulton Vinaigrette salad, and a peach cobbler with a peach-infused Sweet Child of Vine. It’s only $30 per person, tax & tip included, but be sure to call ahead early–there are only 25 slots available.

Other Going-ons in the Fulton world…
In addition to brewing beer, drinking beer, and talking about beer, we have a number of other projects going on–all beer related, of course. One we’re particularly pleased to be a part of is the Randy Shaver Golf Classic. Each year, the Randy Shaver
Cancer Research and Community Fund puts on a golf tournament to raise money for cancer research. In 2009, they awarded over $300,000 in grants. This year, Fulton is the beer sponsor of the golf tournament. It’s a great event for an extremely
important cause. To find out more about how you can help, visit randyshavergolf.com.

We’re also tinkering with a few other things around the garage. There will be some sweet new Fulton apparel available in the next month or so, so be sure to check for it at our website from time to time.

Shhh! We’re also designing our packaging for bottles–a fun project, to be sure, but don’t get too excited just yet, as bottles won’t be available until at least this fall. The people have spoken, and they’ve asked for bottles. We’ve heard the
call, but we appreciate everyone’s patience–it’s a slow process, and believe us when we say nobody is more excited than us to have Fulton available in bottles.

What else might you see in the future? Well, depends on how far into the future you’re looking. We’re working hard right now on finding a brewery space in Minneapolis, revamping our website, brewing more beer…the list goes on and on. In fact, the
list is so long that we’ve had to push back our goal of having Fulton available on the moon until at least 2050. But rest assured–you’ll always be able to grab one on tap in the Twin Cities between now and then.
