First Snowstorm of 2009 on Radar

Schell’s just posted on their Facebook page that the 2009 Snowstorm will be a Baltic Porter. Dave Berg sent us a few more details about this beer, so we thought we’d share:

Snowstorm 2009

OG 17.5 Plato
IBU 31
SRM 63

Beer writer Lew Bryson referred to Baltic Porters  as “a trainwreck between a Dopplebock and an Imperial Stout.”  If the shoe fits…

Copious amounts of Munich malt coupled with 3 British crystal malts, British Chocolate, and some other stuff, Snowstorm 2009 displays flavor reminiscent of dark fruit, licorice, and chocolate.

Release Date:  Nov 1, 2009

Town Hall Shuttle for Gophers/Vikings

Like Gophers football and good beer? Come to the brewery for your pre game food and fun, then ride the free shuttle to the new stadium. That’s right you can can still park at your favorite easy access ramp next door to the brewery, have a few of your favorite house made “adult beverages”, then ride a free shuttle to the brand new football stadium. After the game the free shuttle will bring you back to the brewery for the post game celebration.

2 hours before and after each home game free shuttles will run from “7 Corners” to the new stadium and bring you back. 7 Corners offers you parking, full service eating and drinking establishments, and a nice hotel for an extended stay.

***Stop in Town Hall Brewery for an “All You Want To Eat Buffet” before each day home game***

Go Gophers!

Mike

P.S. The Shuttle will also be running for each Vikings home game and we proudly offer brunch before each home day game

LSD at Town Hall Brewery

Don’t get all excited we are simply talking about our newest beer…a Lavender, Sunflower Honey and Date beer. This late summer seasonal is the work of brewer Josh, and it is good. A very interesting herbal aroma and flavor with a pronounced honey character from our local Minnesota honey. The dates give an interesting chewy malt flavor that is a touch woody…..this beer was a hit at Autumn Brew Review this past weekend, stop in and get yours this monday 9/21 5pm.
