Summit News

Lots of interesting things happening at Summit Brewing Co. They’ve added new fermenters, expanding their annual capacity to 105,000 barrels. More surprising is the fact that that there will be a bit of a line-up change this summer. Scandia Ale, Summit’s interpretation of a witbier, will replace their Hefe Weizen as the summer seasonal. Look for it in bottles and on draft starting in May and running through August or September. The Hefe Weizen, meanwhile, will find its way into the Chicago market as it’s one of Summit’s best sellers in that market.

Summit ESB will now be a full-time beer. Look for it in bottles and on draft this month.

No new limited releases are planned for 2007.

Town Hall Update

Hey All,
We have an official beer release Monday 4/2. Stop by on your way to the Twins game for a glass of our “Ballpark Beer”. Many of your have requested a session pale ale…this is it. Low alcohol, evident but not overpowering hops, light in body, and hey let’s face it the 2007 Twins season opens April 2- you have to drink a Ballpark Beer to support your team! (5-6pm just $2)

Sat. April 7 is “Roll out the barrel”
Many moons ago this date marks when prohibition (for beer) was repealed. So we figure it is a good day to roll out the barrel aged beer. We will release a keg of Wine Barrel Aged Saison at 12 noon. Stop in and have a glass before it is gone. Also early afternoon we will feature a blugrass jam back in the lounge with the Town Hall Stompers. April 7 should be a great day!
