CynicAle, Surly’s newest beer, will debut next week, June 1st, at the Happy
Gnome. Stop on by that evening to check out their new deck and check out our
new beer. It will roll out in bars and restaurants the following day, Friday,
June 2nd. Start asking for it at your favorite Surly bar today.

If you missed their grand opening, fear not, as Surly will be having it’s first non-grand-opening tour on May 26th, 6-7:30. You’ll need a confirmed reservation in order to attend and attendance is limited to 50.

When I send you an email confirming your reservation, you are confirmed. Print out that email, it is your ticket.
More dates are coming and the reservation process will eventually be streamlined. Remember, there are only 2 people working here full time! We are doing are best to fit in tours. In a month or so, we will have regularly scheduled midweek tours.

In celebration of American Craft Beer Week, Beer Advocate compiled a list of the Top 50 American Craft Beers and the Top 50 Places to Have a Beer in America as ranked by their readers/reviewers. I’m happy to see that Minneapolis Town Hall made both lists – their Masala Mama IPA was ranked seventh, outranking some very nice beers, and Minneapolis Town Hall was ranked 46th overall as a place to have a beer in America. Congrats!

Don from Lake Superior Brewing will be sampling beer on Friday, May 19th at Zipp’s Liquors. from 4:30 to 9:00. Ask him nicely and perhaps he’ll dig out some pre-release Windward Wheat!
