Sounds good. I wasted all my Scruvy bottles, sounds like a great opportunity to drink scurvy again

Sad I’ll be outta town for this one again. Off to San Fran and Oregon for a week.

Well at the very least, I’m sure you’ll still find some good beer in SF & Oregon…

That I will. I’m helping my boss move and he’s promised me all the beer I can drink. I’m also meeting the the brewer/owner and distribution manager for 21st Amendment for a beer at some point. Who knows where else I’ll end up this time but a trip to Toronado and Magnolia are on the list along with a stop in Berkeley. I hope there’s some Scurvy left when I get back though.

I’ll gladly trade some MNBeer swag for a little 21A beer 🙂

I was just at Magnolia and was very unimpressed. 21A on the other hand was awesome. Also, the Rougue Ales Public House was amazing.

First, I hope to be at Stub and Herbs tonight. I love me some Devil over a Barrel and Scurvy. Their main lineup is good too.

Second, what is with the San Fran karma? I was just there too. If you can find it, San Francisco Brewing was much better than I expected. Magnolia was so so, I agree. 21st Amendment is quite good. Thirsty Bear Brewing is also so so (but all organic, so that was cool to try). Toronado is busy, crowded, noisy and small, but my God, what a selection. I had Pliny the Elder and Lost Abbey Judgment Day on tap. City Beer Store is sort of worth the hype, but you can get a tremendous selection at the big Whole Foods (see pics for an example).

If interested you can “see” some of these places that may or may not help you decide where you want to go:

Yeah, the selection at Toronado was over the top! I had a Blind Pig IPA in a pint glass for $2.00. No joke. The PINT! of Pliny The Elder I had was $3.50. Try getting a pint of Hop Slam for $3.50. Defenetly worth a visit. Why are awsome beers so much cheaper in San Fran than in the TC? Gas is $4.75 but bombers of Ruination are $3.49.
