Jon dropped me a line to tell us about a new feature at Stub & Herb’s… Weekly meat raffle! Free food? Okay! Every Tuesday from 6-8pm all draft purchases come with a raffle ticket. A ticket number will be called every 15 minutes and winners will get to choose a valpack of meat(or veggies for the vegetarians) from their cooler to take home. They’ll also have some beer swag and gift certificates to give away every week.

Mississippi Market Co-Op in St. Paul is teaming up with Northern Brewer to offer inexpensive brewing classes at Mississippi Market’s brand new kitchen classroom at their West 7th location. A description of the first of these classes, set for Sat. March 27, 10-12pm, is below. Registration is limited and first come, first served.
**Introduction to Brewing with Northern Brewer**
This class will cover an introduction to brewing beer at home. A demonstration batch will be brewed while discussing basic brewing terminology and procedures. (More brewing classes to follow!)

Valentine’s Dinner at Barley John’s Brew Pub
Once again, Barley John’s is has a special Valentine’s Day Dinner menu, and as always, it sounds very good. I’ve never had a bad meal at Barley John’s and this should be no exception. It’s a pity I’ll be out of town this weekend! Note that they’ll be serving this menu on Saturday and also on Sunday evening.
