The 14th annual Fitger’s Bockfest takes place March 13-15th in the Fitger’s courtyard. Perhaps it’s time for a trip up to Duluth for good times and of course some Lake Superior Split Rock Bock in the tents and one of the Brewhouse bocks in the Brewhouse. Here’s a short version of the schedule:

New at the this week: Icebreak Lager – a hybrid vienna/dunkel lager – German style and melllllooooow… Misty Mountain IPA – 100+ IBUS of low alpha English hops served on nitrogen…
And on Monday and Tuesday… Bockfest beers at the Brewhouse – Brewhouse Bock, Mr. Spock Eisbock, Procrastinator Doppelbock and Ted Koppelbock (a maibock). Enjoy!
Acadia Cafe is celebrating their grand re-opening with a keg of Darkness 2006. It’ll tapped at 8:00 pm. According to Surly’s website, “there will be special appearances by other brewers during the day.” Come down for autographs… bring your own markers.
There will also be appearances by other beer dorks throughout the evening. Bring your earplugs. 🙂
Doug Hoverson will be doing a presentation on Minnesota brewing history and a book signing on March 15th at 6:30 at McCann’s Food and Brew in St. Cloud. This event is part of the Cloudy Town Brewers’ March Mashness.
