Ryan Anderson (that's me!) is the editor & founder of MNBeer. Much has changed since the fall of 2005 and I'm proud to have been a part of it all. Sometime I'll tell you about my grand theory that links craft brewing to punk rock. Just ask.

Wyeast Sale at Northern Brewer

Here’s a sweet deal from our friends in St. Paul at Northern Brewer:

to the brim with lots of pure, fresh Wyeast XL Activator Packs. And
guess what? We’re getting thousands more next week, too! Please help

you to do just that, we’re slashing the price from $5.75 per pack to an

or modifiy this offer at any time, so check our web site for the latest

By the way, we still have plenty of the famous Rogue Pacman Ale Yeast,
and it, too, is on sale for just $4.65 a pack!!

Screenshot Request

I’m a Mac user. I own an SGI that runs Windows 2000, but it’s sitting in the basement, unplugged and stored. I know there’s a bit of an issue (aesthetically, at least) with the beer menu on the right side of the site. The lines that separate bars/brewpubs don’t show for the first few places. If you could be so kind, Windows users, could you please take a screenshot of MNBeer, let me know what browser/version you’re using and e-mail it to me at ryan AT mnbeer.com? I believe the issue is with Internet Explorer 5+6 and not 7. I don’t believe I saw it in Firefox, but feel free to send me shots.

MNBeer 2007… Happy New Year

Okay, so it’s not 2007 in Minnesota yet, but I think we can forgo the buzzed 1am posting and the “I love you guys…” baloney (though it’s true). Thank you all for continuing to visit the site (as well as our advertisers’ sites) and for all of your support, kind words and beer. I see 2007 as another good year for beer in Minnesota and I believe if you continue to rabidly support new and established beer-related endeavors in the same way that you’ve supported our friends at Surly Brewing in 2007, only good things can happen.

In the next couple of days, we’ll publish our Beer in Review 2006 with a look back at beer in Minnesota in the year two-thousand and six. We also plan to publish some beer predictions for 2007, that may or may not be close to the truth. Only time will tell.

NYE is here… what are your plans for the evening? Hopefully they’re safe, merry and of course filled with craft beer!

Prost!

P.S. Who got MNBeer shirts for gifts this year? I noticed a few orders in early December and figured that somebody is going to get a fun gift. I’ve never bought a shirt through CafePress, so I’m curious about the quality of the imprint. Cheers!
