Town Hall Release

It’s Monday and that means you can drink away the sorrow of the new work week with a new beer at Town Hall on the cheap. Just don’t get someone else’s week off to a sour start by being cheap with the tips though.

Hey All,

As fall sets in we decided to listen to your requests for an American Amber Ale, but as you would expect our brewers dropped in the Town Hall flair. We added a bunch of oatmeal to this beer making it crazy smooth and silky. This is really a great cooler weather beer, great for watching football! Release is today at 5pm….that’s right pints of Oatmeal Amber just $2.50 from 5-6.

Just in case you were wondering, we are making Fresh Hop again! The 6th annual batch is in the fermenter and was again made with 175lbs of freshly picked wet hops, this year the variety is Citra. Remember, this beer is made with 100% Freshly Picked wet hops from the West Coast of the US…nothing else, no extracts no suplimental hop pellets. Yep, we overnight them from the field. This year they were picked one day and in our brew kettle by 9:30 am the next morning.

Practoberfest

In the German spirit, the folks at Pracna on Main are having a little Oktoberfest celebration down on the river.  The normal Minneapolis Oktoberfest will be held across the street this coming weekend (Sept 10-12th), so Pracna will be having some food and beer specials running also.  Call it…Practoberfest!  Starting Friday, the 10th, at 4pm they will have Oktoberfest and Harvest beer flights as well as traditional German food specials.  The beer flights will be $7 ($6 on the daily 9-11pm happy hour) for 3  6oz brews.  The Oktoberfest flights will include Shiner Oktoberfest, Bell’s Octoberfest, Lefthand Oktoberfest, Flying Dog Dogtoberfest, Widmer Okto, and Avery The Kaiser Imperial Oktoberfest.  Harvest flights will include Rogue John John Hazelnut, Goose Island Harvest, Southern Tier Harvest, Southern Tier Pumking, New Holland Ichabod and Capital Autumnal Fire.  When one keg runs out, they tap a new one, so each day should bring new beer!  Food specials will include a Polish Reuben, Pretzels w/ a spicy cheese or homemade beer mustard, a Polish sausage and a Brat basket.  Those who follow Pracna on Twitter and Facebook will also find out about other specials running during the weekend.  Their normal 9-11pm happy hour will run each night and all of the specialty beers (excluding the Avery Kaiser) will be included.

Breakfast With the Braus!

If you are heading down to ABR come down a little early and have breakfast with the Brau Family!  The NE Social Club (359 13th Avenue Northeast Minneapolis, MN 55413) is only a short 5 block walk away from the entrance of ABR and they will be serving up a family style beer breakfast hosted by the Brau Family!  There will be 4 beers paired with a traditional breakfast with a twist.  And it’s only $20!!  Tickets and menu will be available soon at NE Social Club!
