Lift Bridge Harvestor Release Paaaaartaaaaay

Lift Bridge is releasing their fresh hop IPA, Harvestor, on October 25th, 2009 from noon to 3.  Important note:  Harvestor has an umlaut over the “o.”  I don’t know how to type with an umlaut, so you’ll need to add that yourself when reading this (that is, if you know how to use diacritics).

The Happy Gnome is hosting this release party, apparently under a Happy Tent.  Happily the event is free.  For three happy dollars you get a ticket for a happy pint, or four tix for ten dollars for you big, happy spenders.

Huge breweriana show this weekend

This weekend marks the North Star Chapter breweriana club’s 36th annual Guzzle and Twirl show, the Midwest’s largest beer collectibles show. While Friday evening events, including hospitality and room-to-room swap & sell, is members-only, Saturday’s show is open to the public.  Check it out 10 am-3 pm at Aldrich Arena, located at 1850 White Bear Ave. in Maplewood. The North Star Chapter is a nearly 40 year old organization that recognizes brewery heritage and educates collectors on the history of breweriana. The North Star Chapter is a recognized chapter of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America (BCCA), American Breweriana Association (ABA) and National Association of Breweriana Advertising (NABA).

CHAI GIRL CASK AT NGON PLUS NEW HAPPY HOUR

Stop over at Ngon tonight (and until it is gone) for a cask of Lift Bridge Brewery Chai Girl! Plus check out the detail below on some changes to Ngon’s happy hour.

We will be tapping a cask of the Chai Girl from Lift Bridge today at 4pm.

Here is a quick description from them; We have infused this brew with locally sourced exclusive Chai tea blend while ageing in the cask. Notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and tea blend with the subtle Belgian flavors in a mellow dance. I tasted this during the ABR and told them I had to have some for my beer engine.

Localvors’s Happy Hour has now been extended. For those of you that like to enjoy a beer with your lunch, here’s some more incentive. Our happy hour drinks specials now start at 11am everyday. Cheers.
